The following amendments to the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) are proposed. Public comments will be accepted until April 15, 2021:

21563 - Eugene
Bailey Hill Rd at Bertelsen Rd (Eugene)
Description: Construct a roundabout with enhanced bicycle and pedestrian facilities to increase vehicle and pedestrian safety.
Funding: $737,600 (HSIP-ARTS)
Amendment: Move all funding into the construction phase, advance to 2021, and convert funding to State Funded Local Project (SFLP) funds per executed Local Agency Agreement.

The following amendments to the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) are proposed. Public comments will be accepted until April 20, 2021:

22259 – LTD
Security surveillance upgrades – LTD
Description: Upgrade security surveillance at LTD facilities.
Funding: $2,500,000 (FTA 5307)
Amendment: Cancel 2022 Other phase, add 2021 Preliminary Engineering phase ($405,000) and 2021 Construction phase ($2,095,000). No change in total project estimate.
Note: FTA is requiring that all transit projects with elements of construction be programmed as construction projects rather than Other.

FY22-23 UPWP
Each year, the partner agencies of the MPO work with the Oregon Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration to update and adopt a unified work program for transportation planning in the MPO. Public comments on the Central Lane MPO's draft FY2022-2023 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) will be accepted until April 26, 2021.

The following amendments to the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) are proposed. Public comments will be accepted until April 30, 2021:

21778 – ODOT
City of Springfield signal enhancements (state highways)
Description: Make signal enhancements on various signals on state highways for increased safety.
Funding: $911,783 (HSIP)
Amendment: Increase the Construction phase estimate by $82,355, moving funds from project key 21721 (Statewide Bike/Ped (SWIP) Program) and update description to “Make signal enhancements on various signals on state highways and add illumination at the intersection of OR126 and 52nd Street for increased safety.”
Note: The additional budget will allow full funding of illumination at the intersection of OR 126 and
52nd Street where 3 pedestrians crashes have occurred. Lighting is considered a good short-term safety enhancement.
