The following amendments to the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) are proposed. A public hearing will be held at the Metropolitan Planning Committee (MPC) virtual meeting on January 7, 2021. The public comment period will close February 4, 2021:

City of Springfield requests MPC approval of STBG funding for S. 32nd at Virginia Ave project, and to amend the 2021-2024 MTIP to include this funded project. The project would involve design and construction of a rectangular rapid flashing beacon crossing with a pedestrian refuge island on the southern leg of the intersection of S. 32nd St at Virginia Ave, and add curb extensions on Virginia Ave at S. 32nd St at the entrance to the neighborhood. Transportation Planning Committee (TPC) recently approved the City of Springfield's request to cancel the Glenwood Riverfront Path: I-5 Xing-Seavey LP project, making $836,227.57 of STBG funding available for re-programming. The funding proposal would utilize a portion of these funds.
Funding requested: $350,000 (includes local match of $35,945)

20206 – Eugene
River Rd at Irving Rd (city of Eugene)
Description: Upgrade signal hardware. Add left turn lanes on Irving Road approaches. Install urban green bike lanes on River Road at the intersection.
Funding: $2,403,137 (HSIP, local)
Amendment: Add $600,000 of local funding to Right of Way phase.
