David Richey is a cartographer, spatial analyst, and urban, regional, and natural resource planner with LCOG's Information Research and Analysis group, a position he has held since December of 2004. David contributes to and manages projects in a number of different land use and landscape planning arenas:
  • developable lands inventories
  • transportation planning
  • natural resource management
  • public health
  • agricultural land use
  • food systems
  • water and watershed analysis
  • management
  • health

His cartography encompasses map products such as map books and reference wall maps.

Prior to working at LCOG David earned a BA in Biology before studying Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon (BLA and MLA). While at the University of Oregon David was a Graduate Research Fellow at the Institute for a Sustainable Environment GIS Lab, and taught plant identification and use, Urban Farming, and Geographic Information Systems both as a Graduate Teaching Fellow and Adjunct Assistant Professor.
